Joey DaMommio, President

Joseph DaMommio joined Armstrong in 1997. As the President, DaMommio is responsible for driver fleet growth, customer experience elevation, sales growth and management for the Knoxville agency. Prior to being named agency President in 2016, DaMommio served as the Operations and Logistics Manager for several years, overseeing dispatching and coordinating local and long distance crews, maximizing tonnage and linehaul, ensuring compliance and quality control of service crews, and hiring owner operators and company drivers. DaMommio started out by helping in the warehouse before moving into a business development position. He holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Tennessee and a master’s degree from New York University. When not working, DaMommio enjoys boating on the Tennessee River, biking through greenways and spending time in the mountains.

Ric Hiers, National Account Consultant

Ric Hiers joined Armstrong Relocation in 1999. In his role of vice president of national account sales, Hiers initiates contact with national accounts while overseeing the relocation of existing national accounts. He also manages office relocations, industrial relocations and logistics projects. Hiers and his wife enjoy trail riding, kayaking and boating the scenic back areas and waterways of East Tennessee.

Doug Powers, Relocation Consultant

Doug Powers began his career in the transportation industry in 1974. As a relocation consultant, Powers is responsible for overseeing the relocation process while discovering the individual needs of each client. He earned a bachelor of science in business from West Virginia University in 1978. Powers and his wife have been married since 1976 and reside in Seymour, Tenn., where they enjoy trips to the mountains and searching for collectibles.

Laura Beth Scraggs, Relocation Consultant

Laura Beth Scraggs joined Armstrong Relocation in 2011. As a relocation consultant, Scraggs initiates and oversees the relocation process while understanding the individual client’s needs. Scraggs graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2001 with a bachelor of science in communications, emphasizing in public relations and journalism. A Knoxville native, her husband and two children reside in Knoxville, Tenn.

Rudy Gillen, Relocation Consultant

Rudy Gillen joined Armstrong Relocation in 2016. As a relocation consultant, Gillen seeks out clients while overseeing the relocation process. He holds over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, beginning as a packer/laborer.

Mary Guzman, National Account Coordinator

Mary Guzman joined Armstrong Relocation in 1994. As the national account coordinator, Guzman is responsible for overseeing customers’ move management process. She has earned the Heart of Quality Honorable Mention Award from United Van Lines in 2008 and 2011 for exceptional service. After three years at Armstrong’s Memphis agency, she moved to the Knoxville agency in 1997. Guzman graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor of business administration in marketing. In her spare time, Guzman enjoys biking, hiking and spending time with her family.

Dena Trask, Relocation Coordinator

Dena Trask joined Armstrong Relocation in 2005. As a relocation coordinator, Trask handles the coordination of moves from origin to destination. Trask earned the Heart of Quality Award for exceptional performance in her position. She also worked as a receptionist and billing clerk before taking on her current role. In Trask’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and grandchildren, crocheting and reading.

Amanda Piper, Claims and Origin Agent Coordinator

Amanda Piper began her career with Armstrong Relocation in 2013. As the claims and origin agent coordinator, Piper is responsible for the resolution of all claims, along with the coordination of moves from origin to destination. She has also performed receptionist and military coordinator duties during her time at Armstrong. In her spare time, Piper enjoys spending time with her two boys, researching her family’s genealogy, attending local estate auctions and supporting the Tennessee Vols football team.

Melody Cope, Controller

Melody Cope joined Armstrong Relocation in 1997. In her role as controller, Cope is responsible for all accounting duties in the Knoxville agency. She has been in the transportation industry since 1983, where she began as a receptionist. Cope is a Knoxville, Tenn., native and enjoys time with her grandchildren and exploring in her RV.

Chuck Gregg, Operations and Warehousing

Chuck Gregg joined Armstrong Relocation in 2006. Working in operations, Gregg ensures daily schedules are prepared and filled while managing commercial warehousing. He served 26 years in the United States Air Force, where he focused on transportation, contingency and war planning. Gregg, who resides in Knoxville, Tenn., has two daughters and one granddaughter and enjoys running, hiking and traveling.

Justin Hamblin, Operations and Dispatch

Justin Hamblin joined Armstrong Relocation in 2010. In his operations role, Hamblin oversees interstate and local dispatch in addition to assisting in load planning. Progressing through the company during his time, Hamblin began as a packer/loader and was an owner-operator. Away from the office, he enjoys target practice and spending time with family and friends.
